Few can hear the magic notes and have danced with joy together.
Many have been drowned by the noise of fame and their desire for material gain.
The universe cries for what could be, the choices that went wrong.
It cries for those who pass this way and didn’t awake to sing their song.
THE BEATITUDES INTRODUCTION
The Beatitudes are described in this document as a learning system defining human characteristics that are important to being loving, awake, and partners in building a better world.
Any translation of the Beatitudes relies on the worldview of the translator, which is described later on this website as their “Context”. A search of the web will show many translations of the Beatitudes by those who have traditional Christian religion views established many years after Jesus died.
The translation provided below was developed with the view that Jesus’ intent was to encourage humankind, acting with truth, love and goodwill, to build a better world for all. They provide a resource for us to consider the characteristics we need to develop to improve our contribution to building a better world.
